NC State University Pipes & Drums is the longest continuously functioning pipe and drum band in North Carolina and one of the oldest university affiliated pipe bands in the US (founded at NCSU in 1968). We compete with other pipe bands at highland games in NC, VA, GA, SC, and TN including Grandfather Mtn.
An Gorta Mor Memorial
Established in September 2020, the An Gorta Mor Memorial Pipes and Drums commemorates the one million Irish that died and the more than two million forced to leave their homes and country to escape the great Irish famine. We are a non-profit organization with the mission of fighting hunger locally. We’re an educational pipe band and provide free lessons for students.
